3 Advanced Video Students To Participate in SciVisit

Three advanced video students will shoot video coverage of the SciVisit day on the Dallas campus, Friday April 13th.  Jonathan Jacobs, Garin Hyde and Will Harbin will team up to shoot the event, under the direction of Kate Carmody. All three students are members of our Audio/Video crew, a paid group of advanced students who make college videos with faculty supervision.

SCiVisit is an event where middle and high school students interested in the fields of science, technology, engineering, math and medical careers (STEMM) get an opportunity to participate in this hands-on and interactive event for 10-18 year olds.

On the day of the event, different academic divisions will provide experimental learning activities, demonstrations, and other experiences every 30 minutes to help students learn about STEMM educational opportunities and career paths available at Gaston College. Students will learn about the importance and benefits of obtaining additional education beyond a high school diploma. Also, they will learn how to earn college credit from Gaston College while in high school or after graduating to earn a certificate, diploma, Associate of Applied Science degree, Associate of Science degree, and college transfer programs.

The BPT program is excited to participate in such an important college event.
