WSGE 91.7 Radio Announcing Workshop Begins Soon

WSGE-FM , Gaston College's Eclectic Music Station is holding a Radio Announcing Workshop.  The workshop covers the basics of live-on air announcing.  Completion of the workshop qualifies attendees to be volunteer on-air announcers at the station.  

The dates for the workshop are September 18 - October 16.  The class will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 - 5:30 p.m. in CAS 201.   Enrollment will be limited to 12 people.  Register online at  www.wsge.org.  The volunteer form is located under the "Contact Us" link.


BPT students currently enrolled in an Audio Production course may use the workshop as a required lab project since it may fall during a class period.  Students especially interested in radio are strongly encouraged to take this workshop.  Many BPT students who have taken it have moved from volunteer to paid positions at the station.
